Updating News: North Carolina School for the Deaf

I wanted to let you know what is going on with North Carolina legislatures who discussed about closing two schools at Wilson and Morganton. They wanted to merge three schools into one school at Govenor Morehead school for the Blind in Raliegh.

“State lawmakers have proposed slashing the Department of Health and Human Services budget by $1.4 billion next year to help erase a projected $4.5 billion shortfall.”

Don’t Patronize Us!

 

 

Don’t patronize us over AFA, DBC and other people with personal issues within almost a year! I am just expressing my own point of views about what was going on with DVTV and Deafread. We are dealing with it under unnecessary turmoil by that so-called immature group. I caught someone who loves to dictate other people’s lives over their employment status and their reputation. Someone did not accept it when anyone who made reasonable negotiates with any kind of organization. Someone did not like it when anyone tried to make friends under neutral ground even we don’t agree with each other. It is NOT your job to SABOTAGE our effort to make friends. You revealed yourself in front of any viewers as most well known CYBERSABOTAGER. You know who I am talking about. Just use your plain and simple COMMON SENSE!

I had witnessed how those kinds of group are persistent to patronize the individual over AFA, DBC and Deafhood issues for a year. We are the human beings with multiple and different kind of political views. You try to patronize us until we do it your WAY. HELL NO! This is not SOCIALISM. It is AMERICA the land of Freedom for everyone. We already know some of you played dirty games with us; don’t ever use HOLISM and ASSUMPTION on us like a GOD.

Made in Milwaukee: AGB and DBC

 

Captions: Hello Vloggers/Bloggers: I would like to tell you a story about “Made in Milwaukee, WI”. AGB and DBC had a convention last June 2008.  Both AGB and DBC set up the conventions in their own hotels which were connected by the bridge over the street.

Alexander Graham Bell had his own reserved Presidential Suite on the top floor of the hotel.  Alexander dressed up with luxury clothes while smoking Cuban cigar and drinking Brandy. He walked through the large rooms included bedroom, bar and everything else surrounding large windows with a view of City of Milwaukee. He noticed Milwaukee seems very nice city and he noticed the DBC convention across the street from his hotel.  He looked around curiously and decided to use his binocular. He scanned the crowd with his binocular and he saw a beautiful young woman around 26 years old.  That young lady seems eager. She was working and helping to set up new DBC organization. Alexander was interested and decided to go to third floor where AGB convention is.

Alexander met people at the AGB convention as he took his own time to meet friends and workers. He decided to go across the bridge where DBC organization stayed another hotel. He saw the young woman and decided to introduce himself to her. He said “I noticed that you are attractive woman and what is your name?”. The young lady replied “My name is Deana”. Alexander invited Deana to go out for a date tonight.  He was willing to learn how to communicate with her. Deana accepted the date. So everything was all set on neutral ground.

Alexander and Deana went out to eat, drink, dance and party all night. Guess what happened, they did one night stand. After Alexander and Deana enjoyed the night, they went back and keep busy with their own conventions until end of the day. Everyone returned back to their homes. Alexander was sitting in his own office as he was wondering and waiting for a month to hear from Deana. He thought Deana would email or VP him and see what is up with Deana. Coworkers and friends wondered, too.  Finally, Deana called Alexander through VP. Alexander was excited and asked Deana that he wanted to know what is up with her and how she is doing so far? Deana told Alexander, “I have something new to tell you.” Alexander asked “What’s new?”  Deana replied “I am pregnant”. Alexander widened his eyes and got speechless. At first, Alexander doesn’t know what to do but he decided to accept and stay with Deana through the rest of 9 months pregnant term. Alexander and Deana gave a birth and found out they have a deaf baby. 

What should they do with deaf baby?

History: DeafRead/ DeafTV same as Massachusetts Bay Colony?

I know History might be too boring for you but it is very education for Deafread/ DeafTV community. I would like to tell you a story about Massachusetts Bay Company. John Winthrop and the Puritans decided to settled Salem/ Boston/ Plymouth, Massachusetts as a new Massachusetts Bay colony.

John Winthrop and Massachusetts Bay community created their own laws for the Colony.  Puritans had to follow extremely strict laws because it was a brand new colony in America.  Puritans believed Massachusetts Bay community should be pure and clean under God and the Bible. John Winthrop and Puritans created the laws described that community should not against the belief of Puritans religion, should not drinking in public, should not have adultery, should not stealing, should not lying, and other rules. If some people disagreed one of those Puritan laws and will be exile from the colony. Massachusetts Bay Company is similar concept with Deafread and Deaf TV because blog/ vlog are brand new deaf community as well as modern technology.  Taylor Mayer is same concept as John Winthrop of Massachusetts Bay Company.

There were several important leaders were exiled from Massachusetts Bay to Rhode Island.

Same thing happened with Barry Sewell, Aidan Mack, Amy Cohen Efron , Jack Barr and others like independent political thinkers similar to these exiled Rhode Island important people above the list. However, you are lucky that Tayler Mayer and his eidtors do not ban you from Deafread/ DeafTV unless you across the lines big time. We the Deaf community should be happy that we are not from Massachusetts Bay Colony back in 1630’s.  In facts, John Winthrop, Rogers Williams and Samuel Gorton were still good friends even despite their religious and political differences.

Ironically, the main reason is why I sat back and watched the Deafread and DeafTV. It is remind me of my ancestors back to Massachusetts Bay Company and Providence Plantations (Roger Williams Colony). John Winthrop was my 11 times great grand uncle and Samuel Gorton was my 11 times great grandfather.

For your information, everyone is entitled to express their own opinion as long as we traded our ideas until we become a stronger community. J

Give Jack’s Eyes a break!

 

I watched the Deaf TV and wanted to make comment since I do not have my own vlog yet.

Give Jack’s Eyes a break! Jack Barr done many things for you with comedy vlogs even he updated about DBC convention at Milwaukee. He made one simple mistake as he wasn’t the only one done “Shooting AGB’s grave!” vlog. I know Jack Barr did not intend to encourage to be violence against AGB. He had done many things for you. Don’t drive Jack’s Eyes away from Blog/ Vlog over his simple mistake. Believe me, Jack Barr wont do it again as he learned his mistake. Everyone made mistakes, no big deal.

Aidan Mack was absolute right that hearing community done the same thing as Deaf community. Hearing community is far worse than you guys! You should be happy. Look at reality shows such as MTV’s Real World,  VH1’s I love New York, Survivors and other reality shows, whatever you named it! They showed some violence front of the world TV audiences. It is so damn humiliate. Hollywood made lot of violence movies as well, too!

I always said NEVER NEVER mixed religions and politics together! Can you explain to me why Christians, Muslim and Judaism involved many wars in over 2000 years?  Do you think it is OKAY for any religions to promote violence front of the world?  No, I practically don’t think so!

That’s why Quakers are against the WAR and VIOLENCE!

DBC, Deafhood and other Deaf issues

I read all the debates over DBC, Deafhood and other Deaf issues for a month. I decided to remain neutral on any organizations over sensitive issues.  I am not going to jump into conclusions anymore. I simply supported ASL with babies w/ and w/o cochlear implant with any future (either Deaf or Hearing) parents. I simply wanted to see future deaf children to receive the fair education as well as hearing children’s education. I STILL believe ASL will improve the babies to connect Oralism and English written as well as long as they receive best education. That is up to parents’ choices. Most important are Parents and siblings needed to build the relationship with their any deaf sibling instead being “left out” like a pet.  I just simply sit back and watch Organization’s movement closely like a microscope since they are brand new organizations.

Many deaf and hearing people have rights to choose whether they want to support DBC, ASL Think Tank or other new organizations. It’s Freedom of Choices. All organizations usually made their mistakes. Nobody is perfect like FEMA mishandled Hurricane Katrina victims and Bush Administrations misjudged WMD information on Iraq. History always showed the past mistakes in no matter what as long as we overcome the mistakes.

I read Tara’s final story which it posted few weeks ago by Deaf Womyn Pride. Tara’s story inspired me a lot because she grew up hard life by adopted parent.  Child Protective Services SHOULD handles the adopted parents properly. Tara had been struggled through communication abused and being neglected by abused parents and other services like other deaf victims.  I applauded Deaf Womyn Pride and others rescued Tara and gave her a second chances with education. Tara’s ASL and education showed remarkable improvement under Virginia School for the Deaf. I believe Tara will have brightest futures ahead of her.

Please support Communicate Abused/ Oralism Victims like Tara’s. We need UNITED Deaf Community as well. I am not worrying about AGB’s anymore since they are no longer exist to me. You can agree or disagree with me. I simply expressed my opinions.
